On July 21, speaking at a briefing at the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Utilities of the republic Farit Khanifov reported that as many as 17,593 housing loans totalling 36.7 billion roubles were granted in Tatarstan in the first half of 2020.
The speaker noted that more than 10.5 billion roubles or 49 per cent of this amount are primary housing market loans. At the same time, the support in the amount of 6.5 per cent, which is valid until November 1 of this year, helped to level and facilitate the process of obtaining housing loans and loans for construction.
In his turn, Minister of Youth Affairs of the republic Damir Fattakhov noted that the State Housing Fund of Tatarstan has reduced the size of the initial payment on social mortgage for young families from 10 to 5 per cent to make it more affordable for young people. “This is also a very important decision. Moreover, the maternity capital can be used as an initial payment, and the state writes off a debt in the amount of 200 thousand roubles for the birth of each child during the term of the social mortgage agreement,” Fattakhov added.
According to Executive Director of the Presidential State Housing Fund of the republic Marat Zaripov, the fund plans to provide housing for about 6 thousand families under the Young Family programme announced by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. The State Housing Fund have already brought criteria for participation in the programme for the attention of executive committees of cities and regions, he went on to report.
Earlier Minnikhanov gave an errand to the Government of Tatarstan to extend the social mortgage programme to cover all young families of the republic.
