As many as 1405 educational facilities to be opened in the new school year in Tatarstan

On August 20, at the Government House of the republic, First Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan – Deputy Chairman on the Commission on Preventing and Eliminating Emergency Situations and Ensuring Fire Safety Rustam Nigmatullin held a regular meeting of the Commission via videoconferencing with the participation of all municipalities of the republic.

The main issue on the agenda was the readiness of general educational schools of the republic  to start the new school year.

Nigmatullin said that it is planned to open 1,405 educational facilities in the republic in the new school year. This year will be different from the previous ones, thanks to the innovations that Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed during his message to the Federal Assembly in January, Nigmatullin reminded.

To inspect the readiness of education facilities for the new school year, interdepartmental commissions are set up in the municipalities of the republic. To date, 636 schools, 146 secondary schools, 548 higher and additional education facilities, as well as 1,816 kindergartens have been inspected by the commissions. The purpose of such inspections is to check the state of educational organizations, their readiness for the new school year and support for the students, especially during the autumn-winter period.

Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan Azat Sharapov reported on the readiness of general education facilities for the new school year.

Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in Tatarstan, Chief State Inspector of the Republic of Tatarstan for Fire Supervision Sergei Sergeev reported on the state of fire safety of educational organizations as part of their preparation for the new school year.

Acting Head of the Department of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare in Tatarstan Lyubov Avdonina told the meeting about the sanitary and epidemiological state of educational organizations of the republic and sanitary and epidemiological requirements in preparation for the new school year.

Deputy Chief of Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tatarstan Fergat Mukhametzyanov reported on ensuring the protection of public order and the safety of citizens in preparation for the new school year

At the end of the meeting, Nigmatullin reminded that the priority task of the executive authorities and local self-government is to create safe conditions under which the preservation of the life and health of children, as well as the quality and efficiency of the educational process are ensured.
