Tatarstan signs trilateral agreement on expanding the use of natural gas as the engine fuel

On June 21 within the framework of St. Petersburg International Economic Forum Board Chairman of OAO “Gasprom” Aleksei Miller, Director General of OOO “Gasprom gas engine fuel” Viktor Zubkov and Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov signed agreement on expanding the use of natural gas as the engine fuel.
Tatarstan is one of pilot regions where the programme will be implemented.
In his interview to ITAR-TASS agency Rustam Minnikhanov said that the use of gas engine fuel is especially urgent for big cities, and provide advantages for ecological sphere. We should use gas filling stations efficiently, he said.
Rustam Minnikhanov continued that the Russian Government would provide subsidies for regions where public transport is run on gas engine fuel. He noted that OJSC “KAMAZ” produced a series of such vehicles and Tatarstan has ordered 262 buses already.
On 2 March in her address on the occasion of the Mentor’s Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: “Since 2025 this holiday established by Russian President Vladimir Putin has occupied a worthy place in the calendar of significant dates of our country, emphasizing the high status and significance of the mentoring mission.
On 28 February, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Director of the Fund “The Institute of Development of Tatarstan Cities” Nailya Nagumanova informed about preparation to the implementation of the Our Yard programme in the republic.
On 28 February, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference , the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin reported the statistics on collection of utility payments and payment discipline.
On 28 February, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference , the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin informed that 170 educational facilities will have capital overhaul by federal and regional programmes, having added that the bulk of the projects are planned to begin at the start of the summer holidays.
