9 June 2022, Thursday

On 9 June, speaking at the ceremonial events on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the foundation of the youngest city in Russia – Innopolis, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov congratulated the city and its residents with its birthday.

“Today we are celebrating the first two-digit birthday: ten years have passed since the city cornerstone was laid and seven – when the first residents settled here”, he said.

“Today Innopolis comprises more than 6 500 residents who moved here from various Russian regions and abroad. The IT-University of Innopolis with its 893 students from 44 countries and 152 academic staff from 15 countries is the pride of the city. Innopolis is also the Special economic Zone with 323 IT companies, which have created more than 8 000 jobs. You can see today how the city is growing; new university and living buildings and technical parks are being erected. This means that Innopolis is not slowing down but speeding up its development pace. And you all can become a part of its history! I congratulate everybody with the Innopolis birthday” he concluded.

Then he read out congratulations from the Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and handed in awards to the city organizations employees who made their contribution into the Innopolis development.
