1300 volunteers from 23 Tatarstan regions to be involved to put Arena-Kazan stadium into proper sanitary and ecological condition

On June 30 at a meeting led by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Artem Sidorov said that volunteers from Tatarstan municipal regions would help to put new Arena-Kazan stadium into proper sanitary and ecological condition.
Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov and representatives of all municipal regions took part in the meeting, which was traditionally held in a video conference format and broadcast online.
Artem Sidorov informed that the dress rehearsal of the Summer Universiade Opening Ceremony would be held at the Kazan-Arena stadium on July 4-5.
He continued that heads of 23 municipal regions were asked to help and 1300 volunteers are expected to come to Kazan to clear up the stadium after the dress rehearsal and meeting of the guests.
Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov asked everybody to take this issue seriously. He reminded that the Summer Universiade Opening Ceremony would be one of the first events Universiade participants and guests would see.
Tatarstan Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Services Airat Shafigullin informed about transportation of disabled people, arriving at the Universiade in Kazan, and their accommodation in the Universiade village.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
On 1 December Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in N.I. Lobachevsky Prize and Medal Award Ceremony held in Kazan Federal University and handed in the award to the Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Chief Researcher of the St. Petersburg Department of Steklov Mathematical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences Sergei Ivanov who was awarded for the outstanding achievements in fundamental and applied mathematics.
