Aleksey Pesoshin: Every year Kazan Digital Week expands its coverage

On March 17, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan, Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic Shamil Gafarov took part in the first meeting of the organizing committee chaired by Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation Maksut Shadayev on preparation for the international forum Kazan Digital Week – 2023.

This year, Kazan Digital Week will be held from 20 to 23 September. The forum is planned to be held in full-time and online formats. The mission of the forum is to promote the exchange of scientific and technical information, consolidation of scientific and technological assets capable of effectively solving the problems of import substitution and proactive import substitution, ensuring the technological sovereignty of the country.

Pesoshin underlined that every year Kazan Digital Week is expanding its coverage. This year the forum will be held in federal status.

Shadayev emphasized that the Kazan Digital Week forum is in high demand, as digital development remains a top priority.

Chairman of the Board of the Association for the Promotion of Digital Development Rifkat Minnikhanov delivered a keynote report. He said that in 2022, over 17.5 thousand people took part in 143 programme events of the forum. As many as 222 product samples from 130 organizations and companies were presented at the exhibition. During the days of the forum, 40,000 unique request to the website were registered. Webinars in 10 thematic areas of the forum, 4 hackathons and 2 thematic pitch sessions for startup projects were held. At the end of the forum, 125 articles were published.

During the preparation for the forum, the Hackathon marathon and pitch sessions «Kazan Digital Legends» will be held, which will touch on a number of areas of application of information technologies: the development of innovative IT solutions for the Tatar language and culture, UX/UI design, services for business and government agencies and many others. Their result will be the Demo Day event. Also in May, a series of webinars on the thematic areas of the forum will start. In addition to the business programme, on the sidelines of the forum it is planned to hold another 6 partnership events: the fifth industry championship DigitalSkills, a multi-sport tournament «Games of the Future» and a number of thematic conferences. There will also be ogranized an exhibition. This year the total exhibition area will be 10 thousand square meters. Participation of 250 companies is expected.
