Myanmar and Tatarstan Chambers of Commerce and Industry agree on cooperation

On September 23 during the visit of Tatarstan delegation led by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov to Myanmar, Myanmar and Tatarstan Chambers of Commerce and Industry signed Memorandum on mutual understanding.
The document was signed at a round table with participation of Tatarstan officials and Myanmar businessmen in Yangon at Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Rustam Minnikhanov thanked participants of the meeting for holding such a meeting and noted wide prospects of cooperation. He believes that produce of engineering industry, oil production and transportation may be in-demand in Myanmar.
Chairman of Tatarstan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Shamil Ageev invited Myanmar businessmen to visit Tatarstan and learn more about its industrial potential.
Myanmar and Tatarstan economic potential and a video about Tatarstan "We can!" were presented during the round table.
Memorandum on mutual understanding between Myanmar and Tatarstan Chambers of Commerce and Industry was signed in presence of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Ambassador of Russia to Myanmar Vasily Pospelov, Minister of Commerce Win Myint, Minister of Finance and revenue Win Shein.
The parties expressed confidence that signing of this document will favour rapid development of trade and economic relations between Myanmar and Tatarstan.
On 18 January at a regular Saturday meeting in the Government House of the republic it was announced that by his decree from 18 January 2025 the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov appointed Marat Fayzrakhmanov to the post of the Minister of Finance of the republic.
On 15 January, speaking at a briefing in the Government house of the republic dedicated to implementation of national projects in Tatarstan, the Minister of Economy of the republic Midkhat Shagiakhmetov informed about main achievements of the republic in 2019-2024 and said that more than 228bn rubles has been allocated on implementation of the national projects in the republic for the last six years.
On 13 January Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov took part in a ceremony of opening a college for training qualified specialists in IT and robotics at the University of Innopolis. The college established as a pilot project will enroll first 75 students in 2025-2026 academic year, and, speaking at the ceremony, Roman Shaykhutdinov emphasized its strategic importance in the context of national tasks.
On January 12, on the Day of Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated the officials of the Prosecutor’s Office on their professional holiday.
