As many 13 thousand residents of Tatarstan cannot go abroad because of alimony debts

On 17 June, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic held with participation of all municipalities via video conference, the Head of the Directorate of the Federal Bailiff's Service in Tatarstan Anvar Zakirov said that since the beginning of 2024 as many as 13 thousand residents of Tatarstan cannot go abroad because of alimony payment debts from 10 thousand rubles or more.

He mentioned that if earlier this limitation was in force for six months with revolvment, now the travel lock prescript has indefinite duration.

Anvar Zakirov also told what kinds of debts bailiffs can “freeze” and said: “We carry out active work with debtors. In case a debtor decides to sign a contract with the Defense Ministry or to take part in the special military operation then practically all enforcement proceedings are postponed except for proceedings of recovery of alimony and a recovery of compensations for life or health injury.”

Additionally he informed about active implementation of new technologies which make work of the Directorate employees substantially easier and give them more free time for business trips. Anvar Zakirov also told that in the current year the Tatasrtan directorate increased the number of bailiffs involved in alimony recovery has increased from 60 to 90 people.
