Tatarstan will take part in All-Russia exercises in Civil Defense

On 3 and 4 October Russian Emergencies Ministry is organizing the All-Russia exercises in Civil Defense, with federal executive power bodies, heads of regions and local self-government bodies and organizations taking part in them. Provisional rescue units will also take part in the exercises which will check the feasibility of the developed plans for different periods of time and the readiness of all forces and means to required actions.

Fulfillment of these exercises will make it possible to raise the level of readiness of the population and the leadership and the staff of the Civil Defense to actions during large-scale emergencies during peace and war.

The bodies responsible for the exercise in Tatarstan have organized meetings with the Civil Defense management and deployed groups controlling the implementation of civil defense actions in 45 municipalities and city districts as well as in 22 ministries and directorates. They also organized work in collection and exchange of information with territorial executive power bodies, the state power bodies and municipalities of the republic.

There also were meetings of evacuation commissions of municipalities and organizations falling within the possible hazardous zones.

The protective civil defense facilities for the largest shifts of working organizations will be also brought into a higher state of readiness.
