Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin takes part in a meeting of the organizing committee for the preparation and holding of the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Lev Tolstoy

On October 15, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a meeting of the organizing committee for the preparation and holding of the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Lev Nikolaevich Tolstoy, which was chaired by the Head of the Administration of Russian President Anton Vayno via videoconference.

Russian Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova spoke about the main events under the plan for the celebration of the 200th anniversary of Lev Tolstoy and the progress in implementing the instructions following the meeting of the organizing committee on 16.05.2023. During the meeting, the participants made reports on the main priorities for the preparation and holding of the celebration of the 200th anniversary of Lev Tolstoy's birth, on the preparation of the State Memorial and Nature Reserve "Tolstoy Museum-Estate "Yasnaya Polyana" for his anniversary. There were also reports on the preparation of events for the 200th anniversary of Tolstoy in other regions of the Russian Federation.
