Currently, the republic has 2 special economic zones, 5 territories of leading development, 6 technology parks, 24 industry clusters, 102 industrial parks. Federal universities and one of the ten world-class scientific centers "Rational development of liquid hydrocarbons of the planet" are successfully operating.

President of the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan Rifkat Minnikhanov emphasized that by 2030 it is planned to increase the contribution of the education sector to the formation of the gross territorial product by 1.7 times.

To this end, the system of motivating teachers, approaches to their retraining and personal growth is being changed with emphasis on natural, mathematical and computer sciences.

The next goal is to create conditions in science and develop a set of long-term tools for increasing domestic research and development costs by 2.9 times.

This will be done primarily at the expense of the industrial sector, which will create an additional 32,000 new jobs.

For these purposes, strategic projects of universities - participants of the Strategic Academic Leadership Program "Priority 2030" and advanced engineering schools will be integrated into the comprehensive program. In the field of innovation, it is planned to increase project efficiency by generating more than 300 successful start-ups per year and raising activity in the intellectual property market through the motivation of invention and rationalization.

Patent activity is planned to increase by 1.1 times, the advanced production technologies used - by 1.2 times. In addition, the share of our own developments will be doubled. For this purpose, a unique ecosystem, a mechanism for seamless support and system support of projects, has begun to be formed in the sphere of support for innovations and high-tech entrepreneurship. This cluster contains all the key development structures and institutions.

Deputy Head of the Secretariat of Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko Antony Shvindt emphasized that Tatarstan is the leading scientific centre of the country.
