On December 10, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, Director General of the Gazprom Transgas Kazan Rustem Usmanov said that in Tatarstan, the gas supply programme has reached 28,8 thousand plots of land, including 81 per cent of households have already been connected. The average percentage in Russia is much lower.
In total, over 34,000 applications have been submitted under the programme for additional gasification of households in Tatarstan since 2021, and 32.8 thousand contracts have been concluded under them.
Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Marat Minibayev emphasized that Tatarstan has one of the highest levels of gasification, which makes 97.8 per cent.
He also reported that in Tatarstan, subsidies are being allocated for targeted assistance on gasification. Support can be provided to veterans of the World War II, veterans of military operations, family members of the deceased, families with a disabled child or three or more children, families whose average per capita income does not exceed 19,000 rubles. and also family members of special military operation participants and other categories. This year, 92.3 million rubles will be allocated to these purposes.
In April 2021, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the free supply of gas to houses in gasified settlements.
In November 2022, the Government of the Russian Federation decided to continue the gasification programme indefinitely.
