Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in 48th session of State Council of the 4th convocation

On February 13 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the 48th session of State Council of the 4th convocation.
A bill to amend the Family Code of the Republic of Tatarstan was passed in its first reading. Deputy Tatarstan Prime Minister – Minister of Education and Science Engel Fattakhov explained that the bill, in particular, was drafted to bring the Tatarstan Family Code to conformity with a new version of the Federal Law “On Education of the Russian Federation” and Tatarstan Law “On Education” in terms of terminology.
Human Rights Commissioner Sariya Saburskaya made a report on observance of human and citizen rights and liberties in Tatarstan.
Chairman of Tatarstan State Council Committee on Social Policy Svetlana Zakharova reported on a federal bill on prohibition of adoption of children by foreigners. She noted that the bill became the subject of serious discussion.
Tatarstan has positive experience in taking in children to adoptive families, including foreign ones. Svetlana Zakharova recommended the State Council not to support the federal bill. After voting it was decided not to promote the offered bill.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects.
