Rustam Minnikhanov meets with delegation of Cisco company

On May 12, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with Global Head of Transformational Strategy, Cisco International limited Matthew Smith at the Representative Office of the Republic of Tatarstan in Moscow.
Matthew Smith asked Tatarstan President about his impressions about the recent working visit to Barcelona, during which the meeting with the Cisco executives took place.
Matthew Smith thanked Rustam Minnikhanov for good partnership relations that have been established between the republic and Cisco. "We really appreciate our relationship and would like to successfully develope them in future," he pointed out.
Rustam Minnikhanov called the existing relations between Tatarstan and Cisco large-scale. "You have given us great opportunities, working in our republic. Together with you, we have implemented a unique projec, which should be replicated," Rustam Minnikhanov said and thanked the company’s leadership for a productive and interesting visit of Tatarstan delegation to Barcelona.
The Cisco leadership offered to continue cooperation with the republic in a number of new areas, including implementation of the project "Smart City", that provides unique opportunities for the public sector, access to numerous municipal resources, security of the city, etc.
Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that all the proposed projects are very important and relevant for the republic, adding that they could be started in the near future.
During the meeting, an agreement to sign a memorandum between Tatarstan and Cisco was reached.

On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
