Economic potential of Tatarstan presented to participants of international forum "Development of innovative space of the CIS. Role and place of commercial and industrial chambers of Commonwealth countries"

The international forum "Development of innovative space of the CIS. Role and place of commercial and industrial chambers of Commonwealth countries" is being held in Kazan on 16-17 April. It is organized by Russian Chamber of commerce and industry, Tatarstan government and RT Chamber of commerce and industry.

Plenipotentiary representative of Russian President in Privolzhsky federal district Grigory Rapota, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev, President of Russian Chamber of commerce and industry Evgeni Primakov, RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov, Chairman of RT Chamber of commerce and industry management Shamil Ageev and others visited the exhibition.

RT First Deputy Prime Minister Boris Pavlov told about implementation of some innovative projects and use of innovative mechanisms in economy on the whole.

Director of RT Investment and venture fund (IVF) Ainur Aideldinov presented a program of supporting venture projects and small entrepreneurship. By his words there are about 2 000 projects in database of IVF, 180 projects are being developed. Total investment profile of IVF amounts to 5,5 bln. roubles. The fund provides support for projects at the early stage of development when intellectual property is in making. One of the objectives of the fund is a close interaction with institutions of higher education, searching for new talents and projects.

Director of municipal unitary enterprise “Directorate of Universiade-2013” Vladimir Leonov reported on preparation for Universiade-2013. Kazan is waiting for 10 000 sportsmen from 170 countries. 64 sport facilities are planned to be used at the event. 28 objects have been already finished.

Achievements in hydrocarbons production of JSC “Tatneft” have been presented to Evgeni Primakov.

Within the exhibition the guests also heard of activity of JSC “Nizhnekamskneftehim”, JSC “Kazanorgsintez”, JSC “Plant named after Gorki”. Also special economic zone “Alabuga”, technopark “Idea”, “Khimgrad” were presented to participants.
