More than 200 000 Tatarstan children will spend holidays in summer camps

Briefing on issues of preparation for summer health campaign in Tatarstan was held in the RT Cabinet. Representatives of RT Ministry of education and science, RT Ministry of health care, RT Ministry of youth affairs, sport and tourism, Management of Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere of Protection of Consumer Rights and Human Welfare for the Republic of Tatarstan, Fund of social insurance of Russian Federation for the Republic of Tatarstan and power structures took part in meeting with journalists.

Deputy Minister of youth affairs, sport and tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan Andrey Kondratyev informed that Tatarstan President and government made the decision about maintenance of financing the program “About organization of rest, health improvement and employment of children and youth in Tatarstan” as particularly significant social program. This year for program financing 215 mln. 125 thousand roubles are planned to be allocated from Tatarstan budget, 250 mln. – from budgets of municipal regions, city districts, funds of organizations and companies, 360 mln. - from Fund of social insurance of Russian Federation for the Republic of Tatarstan. Also for organization of temporary employment of teenagers 28, 8 mln. roubles will be appropriated from RT and RF budgets.

By the words of A. Kondratyev despite difficult economic situation it is planned to involve 205 000 children into the program in 2009.

RT First Vice Premier Ravil Muratov said that it is also planned to organize shifts of military and patriotic orientation in Kamskoe Ustie, Chistopol, Bugulma, Apastovo. Republican staff of student units are going to organize the work of more than 200 different student units – building, pedagogical, agricultural, conductors’ units, e.t.c. Special attention will be paid to safety of children staying in summer camps.

A. Kondratyev stressed that by the end of May it is necessary to sign the act about readiness for summer health campaign with municipal regions.
