RT First Vice-Premier Boris Pavlov took part in celebrations devoted to the 64-anniversary of Victory in Great Patriotic War

On the threshold of Victory Day RT First Deputy Prime Minister Boris Pavlov took part in holiday concert for veterans of Great Patriotic War which was held in Kazan house of culture named after Lenin in Aviastroitelny district of Kazan.

On behalf of leadership of the Republic of Tatarstan Boris Pavlov congratulated all veterans and workers on the home front on the 64-anniversary of great Victory. He reminded that 7 infantry divisions, tank brigades, anti-aircraft artillery regiment, air brigade were formed on the territory of Tatarstan.

700 000 people went to the front from Tatarstan. Almost half of them left at battlefields forever. “The victory was forged at labour front, too. Leading factories of defense industry of Tatarstan made contribution into provision of our soldiers with weapons, ammunition, outfit, medical equipment, oil production, e.t.c. In years of the II World War more than 70 factories were evacuated to republic. More than 600 items of military equipment were produced at them”, - Boris Pavlov said.

He stressed that blessed memory and sincere pride for people which protected their motherland will always remain in hearts of present-day generation.
