1 million 424.1 thousand square meters of housing commissioned in Tatarstan

On August 2, at a regional meeting at Tatarstan Government House held by Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Utilities Services Irek Faizullin said that1 million 424.1 thousand square meters of housing were commissioned in Tatarstan as of August 1, 2014. 60 houses were built under social mortgage programme.
Construction of 52 rental houses is planned for 2014. 309 one-room flats in 19 municipalities are to be purchased for orphaned and adandoned children . 41 houses for 141 veterans will be built.
The Minister also reported on implementation of such programmes as construction of multi-purpose sports grounds, medical and obstetric stations, and construction of preschool educational organisations.
Irek Faizullin also told about collection of payments for housing and utilities services.
Ildar Khalikov called heads of regions for paying much attention to collection of payments.

On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
On 1 December Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in N.I. Lobachevsky Prize and Medal Award Ceremony held in Kazan Federal University and handed in the award to the Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Chief Researcher of the St. Petersburg Department of Steklov Mathematical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences Sergei Ivanov who was awarded for the outstanding achievements in fundamental and applied mathematics.
