Tatarstan and Iran join efforts in development of nanoindustry

On July, 8 First Deputy prime minister of Republic Tatarstan Boris Pavlov held meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Iran to Russian Federation Mr Reza Sadzhadi in the Embassy of Iran Republic in Russian Federation (Moscow). They discussed perspectives of cooperation among state structures, scientific and business communities of Iran and Tatarstan in the sphere of joint development of nanotechnologies on long-term partner basis.

Head of nanotechnologies committee of Islamic Republic Iran Said Sarkar, scientific and industrial attaché of Iran embassy in Moscow Mekhrab Rukhbakhsh, Vice President of RT Academy of sciences Askhat Gumerov and Deputy Director General of institution “Directorate of federal target and regional programs” Valery Polyakov took part in the meeting.

Boris Pavlov thanked Mr Reza Sadzhadi for interest in cooperation with Tatarstan regarding realization of investment projects in the sphere of nanotechnologies, told briefly about main areas of nanoindustry development in republic. He also noted that Tatarstan has become one of the first regions in Russia which signed the Agreement about cooperation in the sphere of nanoindustry development with state corporation “Rosnanotekh”.

RT First Vice Premier stressed that active work on implementing this agreement is being carried out. It allows systematically solving the problem of commercialization of scientific studies, their implementation in real economic sector for the purpose of getting innovative high-tech competitive production in world market.

Boris Pavlov also characterized main areas of nanoindustry development in Tatarstan and priority projects in petrochemistry, aircraft, auto, ship building and medicine. He offered representatives of Iran scientific and business communities cooperation and organization of working group with Iran representatives for studying and realization of joint projects.

Besides Mr Pavlov thanked Iran representatives for invitation to take part in international exhibition of nanotechnologies (Tegeran, November, 4-8, 2009) and in his turn invited Mr Reza Sadzhadi, Iran scientists and businessmen to take part in the X international conference “Nanotechnologies in industry” and I international exhibition “Nanotechnologies. Kazan-2009” (November, 10-13, 2009).

Mr Reza Sadzhadi thanked Tatarstan representatives for shown interest towards development of nanotechnologies in Iran. He said that in Iran this issue is being worked out at state level as well.
