On November 19, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov took part in a session of Sarmanovo Region Council where Farid Khusnullin, the ex-head of Sarmanovo region's agriculture and food department, was elected the acting head of the regional Executive Committee.
Before the session the Head of Tatarstan Government had opened a new sports and fitness centre “Dulkyn” in Sarmanovo. The centre built in two years at the total cost of 108 million roubles houses a 25-meter long and 10-meter long swimming pools, fitness room, children’s playing room, six men’s and women’s locker-rooms.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Tatarstan Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to Nafis Zakirov for the initiative to build the swimming pool. According to him, thanks to the Head, a lot of new facilities were opened in Sarmanovo and in the region in general. Ildar Khalikov also thanked the builders. "Building such facilities is not easy, but they coped with it," he said.
He handed in a number of awards to the builders, cut a symbolic red ribbon, and then looked around the new sports centre.
At the session of Sarmanovo Region Council the deputies addressed leaving of the region’s head position by Nafis Zakirov who had taken the post for 15 years. The council accepted the head’s resignation from the executive committee’s head position as well; then Ildar Khalikov addressed the participants.
“This is a really important decision for each municipal formation," the Prime Minister said.
He reported that the decision about the resignation was a personal decision of Nafis Zakirov who will hold a new position at Tatneft Oil Ccompany.
The deputies voted for Farid Khusnullin to be the acting head of Sarmanovo region's Executive Committee and announced a vacancy for this position.
On 26 March Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a meeting of the Council by the Russian Presidential Envoy in the Volga Federal District dedicated to rural demographic policy held by the Russian Presidential Envoy in the District Igor Komarov in Nizhniy Novgorod with participation of heads of federal ministries concerned, representatives of the Federal Assembly and heads of federal entities of the Volga Federal District. The participants of the meeting discussed such topics as the demographic situation, implementation of federal programmes and the best regional practices, and the results of the meeting will be used for preparing comprehensive solutions of such tasks set by Russian President Vladimir Putin as preservation of the population, strengthening health, raising prosperity of people and supporting families.
On 24 March, speaking at a briefing on achievements of preventive medicine last year and plans for 2026 held in the Government House of the republic, representatives of Tatarstan Healthcare Ministry said that medical check-ups are proving their effectiveness in preserving the health and lives of residents of the republic.
Thus the regional Healthcare Minister Almir Abashev informed: “Over the past five years, a clear course has been set to ensure that preventative medicine in the country gains momentum. Starting from 2022 the number of people who should have their medical check-ups in this or that year is growing. We are facing a task of covering more than 70 per cent of elderly people with check-ups by 2030.”
On March 10, the third meeting of the organizing committee on preparation and holding of the 20th anniversary Russian Venture Forum 2026 to be held in Kazan from April 8 to 10, chaired by Russian Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov and with participation of Tatarstan Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and co-chair of the forum’s organizing committee Aleksey Pesoshin, President of the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan Rifkat Minnikhanov, Director of the Investment and Venture Fund of Tatarstan Damir Galiev as well as representatives of federal and regional authorities, development institutions and partner organizations via videoconference, took place.
On 10 March, speaking at a briefing dedicated to the development of the national Max messenger in Tatarstan and held in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communication of the republic Ilya Nachvin informed that according to the data of March 2026 about 1.5m residents of Tatarstan use domestic Max messenger.
