Selet Movement marks its 20th anniversary in Kazan

On December 9, in Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov attended a concert dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Selet Movement (the biggest youth organization in the Republic of Tatarstan for talented young people ).
The Selet movement has developed since 1994 with the support of Tatarstan Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sport and Tatarstan Academy of Sciences.
The Selet conducts over 50 education and research festivals and welfare projects involving over 12,000 talented schoolchildren and students annually.
Minnikhanov congratulated participants of the Selet movement on the jubilee and thanked its activists for their head hunting.
“I do hope you will continue working to preserve our language, traditions and customs,” the President concluded.
On 2 March in her address on the occasion of the Mentor’s Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: “Since 2025 this holiday established by Russian President Vladimir Putin has occupied a worthy place in the calendar of significant dates of our country, emphasizing the high status and significance of the mentoring mission.
On 28 February, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Director of the Fund “The Institute of Development of Tatarstan Cities” Nailya Nagumanova informed about preparation to the implementation of the Our Yard programme in the republic.
On 28 February, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference , the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin reported the statistics on collection of utility payments and payment discipline.
On 28 February, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference , the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin informed that 170 educational facilities will have capital overhaul by federal and regional programmes, having added that the bulk of the projects are planned to begin at the start of the summer holidays.
