Rustam Minnikhanov suggests holding next session of Russia-Hungary Intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation in Kazan

On December 17, during his trip to Budapest, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Affairs, Co-chairman of Russia-Hungary Intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation Peter Szijjarto at Hungarian Parliament. The parties discussed cooperation of Tatarstan and Hungary within the framework of Russia-Hungary relations.
Peter Szijjarto said that Russia is a very important partner for Hungary, and Hungarian leadership is focused on cooperation with Russian regions. He also reminded that the Hungarian Consulate General will open in Kazan in the first half of 2015.
According to Peter Szijjarto, Hungary is interested in experience of Tatarstan in organization of big sports international events, such as World Aquatics Championship 2015 and matches of World Football Cup 2018.
Minnikhanov, in his turn, suggested holding the next session of Russia-Hungary Intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation in Kazan. Ambassador of Russia to Hungary Vladimir Sergeev, who took part in the meeting, supported the idea.
Minnikhanov and Szijjarto also discussed opening direct flights between Kazan and Budapest that will help increasing the tourist flow.
According to the minister, Russia is the third important country for Hungarian tourism industry today, and health tourism, in particular, is very popular among Russian tourists.

On 14 February, speaking at a meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Director of the Fund “The Institute of the Development of Tatarstan Cities” Nailya Nagumanova informed that 561 courtyards are to be improve within the Our Yard programme in the republic in 2026.
In his address on the occasion of the Russian Science Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated scientists, researchers and lecturers of the republic with the event and wrote: “Science has always been and remains one of the main driving forces of progress and foundation for the development of economy, social sphere and education. On February 3, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a ceremony of opening XXI All-Russia competitions in fire-rescue sports for the Cup of the Tatarstan Prime Minister, held in the gym of the Chief Department of the Russian Emergencies Ministry for Tatarstan with participation of 21 teams from various regions of Russia - a total of about 430 people.
On 31 January, speaking at a meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Damir Shaydullin reported that capital overhaul of nine school in eight municipalities of the republic has started.
