All-Russian fire-fighting sport competitions opened in Kazan

On February 5, at the sports arena of the Main Department of the Russian Ministry of Emergencies in Tatarstan, the XI All-Russian fire-fighting sport competitions for Tatarstan Prime Minister Cup and the VI winter fire-fighting championships of Russian Emergencies Ministry Volga regional center of the Russian Ministry of Emergencies opened and will last for two days.
Teams from regional centers of the Ministry, educational institutions and Russian regions take part in the competitions. There are 330 participants and 20 teams from 19 Russian regions. For the first time, women will fight for the cup as well.
The competitions include two kinds of programmes of fire-fighting sports: overcoming the 100-meter obstacle course and climbing by a hook ladder to the window.
The opening ceremony began with march-in reviewed by Chief of the Main Department of Russian Ministry Emergencies in Tatarstan and Tatarstan Minister of Civil Defense and Emergency Situations Rafis Khabibullin.
Acting Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of Russian Emergencies Ministry Volga regional center Igor Panshin attended the ceremony as well.
Rafis Khabibullin awarded memorable prizes to distinguished quests of the tournament. At the end of the opening ceremony, Tatarstan team, the winner of last year’s competitions, raised Russian and Tatarstan flags.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
