Rustam Minnikhanov: “Tatarstan and Kostroma region get to new stage of cooperation”

On March 4, at the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a meeting with the Governor of Kostroma region Sergey Sitnikov, who is on a working visit in Kazan.
Rustam Minnikhanov noted that the history of cooperation between the regions started in 1996 when the agreement on mutual cooperation was signed.
According to Minnikhanov, in 2013 the total volume of trade turnover between Tatarstan and Kostroma region made 2.5 billion roubles, which is not enough, considering the industrial potential of the regions.
Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Sergey Sitnikov for supporting reconstruction of a memorial mosque and noted that now it is important that traditional Islam will be practiced there and the mosque will become an example of friendship between different religions.
Sitnikov thanked Rustam Minnikhanov for a warm reception and noted that he had visited a number of Tatarstan industrial enterprises with other members of the delegation.
Rustam Minnikhanov and Sergey Sitnikov also signed an agreement on trade-economic, scientific-technical, social and cultural cooperation between Tatarstan and Kostroma region.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
