Ildar Khalikov: The name of Mukhammad Sabirov will always be a part of the history of our republic

On March 10, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev, political and scientific figures of the republic took part in farewell ceremony for first Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Mukhammat Gallyamovich Sabirov. A famous public and political figure died on March 9, 2015.
Ildar Khalikov expressed condolences to relatives of Mukhammat Sabirov on behalf of Tatarstan President. “Mukhammat Gallyamovich was a very outstanding and talented person. He always cared for every citizen of the republic,” he said.
Khalikov told about Sabirov’s career noting his professional and organizational skills that brought him to civil service.
From 1991 to 1995 he headed government of the republic. Working achievements of Mukhammat Sabirov were marked by high state awards. He was awarded with two Orders of the Red Banner of Labour, orders of “The Badge of Honour” and Peoples’ Friendship, order “Of merits for the Republic of Tatarstan” and title “Honoured builder of the Republic of Tatarstan”.
Khalikov noted that the name of Mukhammad Sabirov will always a part of the history of our republic.
Mintimer Shaimiev noted that Mukhammat Sabirov worked in the most difficult period of the history of the republic.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
