7 million anti-virus masks for protection against flu are expected to arrive in Republic Tatarstan till December 1

Anti-virus masks for protection against flu for needs of Tatarstan residents will be produced directly in Tatarstan. Such a decision has been accepted in connection that today lack masks is felt.

This was announced today at a briefing in RT Cabinet by deputy minister of RT public health services Farida Yarkaeva. As she said, for producing masks a nonwoven material spunbond would be used. Thus, in the near future (November 18 - December 1) 7 million pieces of masks (ZAO " Zdravmedtekh – Povolzhye” “Kil Kazan", " Medsnab ", " State Unitary Enterprise " Tattekhmedfarm”) are expected to supply Kazan .

During a briefing Farida Yarkaeva also informed that from the budget of Republic Tatarstan in September it had been allocated 3 million rbl. for creating a reserve of medical products for preventive maintenance and treatments of flu (the reserve has been purchased by State Unitary Enterprise " Tattekhmedfarm "). In November the decision was taken up on allocating 12,8 million rbl. more - for purchasing medical products, masks, medical equipment for treatment of acute respiratory diseases and flu.

Besides, in chemist's networks checks for revealing the facts of overestimate of the prices on anti-flue medicines will be held. Such order was issued by RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov to FAS Management on RT, Management of Roszdravnadzor on RT, RT Ministry of Internal Affairs.

As a whole, the volume of pharmaceutical market in Republic Tatarstan has made in the first half-year 2009 nearby 7 billion rbl. (in 2008, the volume of pharmaceutical market made 11,86 billion rbl. from which about 42 % it was bought due to budgetary funds).

According to Farida Yarkaeva, the volume of consumed medicines makes in republic 3,1 thousand rbl. per person.

Realization of medical products to the population is carried out through 1250 drugstores.
Sale of medical products to preferential categories of citizens in Tatarstan is made by 162 specialized chemist's establishments (of which 125 drugstores and 37 chemist's points).

As deputy head of Management of Federal service on supervision in sphere of public health services and social development on RT Lyubov Shaikhutdinoca informed for today in no retail drugstore of republic the extra charge on medicines at a rate of 25 % (it is maximal extra charge) is fixed. Thus, she noted, that in January-May, rise in prices on medicines made 9,8 %, but later the situation with the prices got stabilized.
