60 companies from Russia and foreign countries took part in first international specialized exhibition “Nanotechnologies. Kazan-2009”

RT First vice-premier Boris Pavlov solemnly opened I international specialized exhibition “Nanotechnologies. Kazan-2009”. Exposition is placed on the territory of exhibition centre “Kazan fair”. It is organized by RT Cabinet, RT Ministry of industry and trade, Tupolev Kazan State technical university, Kazan city hall and JSC “Kazan fair”with support of State Corporation “Rosnanotech”.

Boris Pavlov noted that new period of scientific and technical progress has started. Its development will be implemented using new technologies including biotechnologies, information technologies and nanotechnologies.

Formation of nanoindustry should become the most important strategic area which will determine new approaches to reorganization of domestic industry. To succeed in this, Complex program of project development of RT nanoindustry till 2015 has been developed and approved. It is aimed at developing nanoindustry for providing advance development of high-tech economic branches of republic and Russia on the basis of implementation and adoption of nanoindustrial projects and increasing enterprises’ competitive ability.

Boris Pavlov said that recommendations and initiatives worked out at the forum would favour the development of nanoindustry in RF and solving modern problems of innovative economy.

Dmitry Krinitsky, Chief of Directorate on interaction with federal and regional power bodies of State Corporation “Rosnanotech” stressed that Tatarstan is one of the leaders in development of nanoindustry in Russia. He considers that the republic has immense energy, industrial and scientific-educational potential. Besides, Tatarstan leadership seriously approaches the development of nanoindustry. Relations between business and state structures are worked out well. It, in its turn, influences quick decision-making.

After solemn opening ceremony official delegation overhauled expositions of the exhibition.

Among participants of the exhibition were RT and RF industrial enterprises and organizations, research and project institutes, institutes of higher education, scientific laboratories, research centres, e.t.c. By and large about 60 companies from 12 Russian cities, representatives of foreign companies from Japan, Ukraine, Iran and Belarus took part in the event.
