24 September 2015, Thursday
On September 24, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated Tatarstan citizens on Eid al-Adha.
“Dear Muslims of Tatarstan!
I congratulate you on the holy holiday Eid al-Adha!
These days in all mosques believers are praying for peace, penance and mercy. We are all dreaming that Allah will accept our sacrifice and hear our prayers. We believe that ideals of good, love, and justice that unite all religions will find a place in our hearts and put an end to interreligious conflicts and fratricidal wars. Eid al-Adha and other important Muslim, Christian and Jewish holidays are celebrated in Tatarstan, where representatives of many nationalities and religions live in peace. Traditions of hospitality, charity and care for relatives are unchangeable. Muslims living in the republic always welcome their friends and everyone willing to share the joy of holy celebrations.
Let this Eid al-Adha be more generous and happy! I wish you the grace of Allah and help in all your good deeds! Happy Eid al-Adha, dear citizens of Tatarstan!
