Tatarstan President visits museum of Islamic art in Doha

On December 8, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited museum of Islamic art in Doha, Qatar.

The museum was built upon the project of a famous architect Ieoh Ming Pei in 2008 and occupies the area of 45,000 square meters. The collection of Islamic art includes manuscripts, textiles, carpets, ceramics, arms and armour, and household objects. A lot of artifacts were brought from Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Turkey, India and Central Asia.

Rustam Minnikhanov accompanied by Minister of Industry and Trade of the republic Albert Karimov, Aide to Tatarstan President Radik Gimatdinov, and KAMAZ PTC Sergei Kogogin looked around the exposition and visited the research institute and library.
