Tatarstan Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Akhmetov: Sugar beet crop to make 2.3 mln tonnes for the first time in Tatarstan

On October 29, at a video conference with municipal regions held by Acting Tatarstan President Ildar Khalikov, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Akhmetov reported that sugar beet harvesting is nearly finished.
The minister continued that sugar beet has been harvested at the area of 62.4 hectares (99 %), and the total crop yield makes 362 centers per hectare in the republic.
According to Akhmetov, sugar beet crop will make 2.3 mln tonnes for the first time in Tatarstan.
The processing of sugar beet is underway as well. Three factories that are working without interruption have produced 133 tonnes of sugar.

The forum brought together leaders and experts of the branch from all over the world and is dedicated to transformational changes happening on the global investments landscape.

On May 6, speaking at a briefing held in the Government House of Tatarstan and dedicated to the issues of holding the sowing campaign in the republic, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic-Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade Marat Zyabbarov said that in the current year the sowing area will be 2.7 million hectares, which is at the level of last year, including 1.8 million hectares allocated for spring sowing.
