Tatarstan President: Kazan Plant of Precision Engineering has great potential for development

On November 18, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a meeting of the Scientific and Technical Council of the Military-Industrial Commission of the Russian Federation dedicated to 75th anniversary of the Kazan Plant of Precision Engineering.

Before the event, Minnikhanov and Chairman of the Scientific and Technical Council of the Russian Military-Industrial Commission - Deputy College Chairman of the Commission Yury Mikhailov had visited the plant's manufacturing facilities. Director of Kazan Plant of Precision Engineering Arthur Khisameev told them about the current activity of the enterprise, as well as the implementation of measures aimed at retrofitting existing facilities. 

Opening the meeting, Mikhailov noted that Tatarstan is one of the centers of the Russian defense industry. In his turn, Minnikhanov thanked organizers for choosing the Kazan Plant of Precision Engineering to hold the event.

“Today the plant has a great potential for development. Products manufactured at this plant are in demand in our country. A lot of money was invested in retrofitting. We had looked around workshops before the meeting. It is clear from the mood of the people and the equipment condition that the situation has changed for the better," Minnikhanov said. 

Minnikhanov congratulated the staff of the Kazan Plant of Precision Engineering on the 75th anniversary of the plant and handed in state awards of the Republic of Tatarstan to the most distinguished employees of the enterprise.
