On November 19, during his working visit to Paris, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with activists of the Tatar community living in France and Association “Maison France-Tatarstan”.
Minnikhanov thanked everybody for the opportunity to meet and involvement in the preservation of traditions, culture and language of the Tatar people.
He said that when he pays working visits to various countries, he is always pleased to meet activists of Tatar communities, exchange opinions regarding the preservation of the Tatar language far from the historical homeland.
Speaking about modern France and migration issues, Minnikhanov noted that today Tatarstan being a Russian region may be of great interest as a place where representatives of various religious and ethnic groups have lived in peace and harmony for many centuries.
Tatarstan President also expressed his gratitude to activists of the Association "Maison France-Tatarstan" for their willingness to unite Tatars living in France.
