Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in the 24th session of Tatarstan State Council

On December 26, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev and members of the Tatarstan Government took part in the 24th session of the Tatarstan State Council.

The session started with a minute’s silence in memory of people who died in the Tu-154 plane crash in the Black Sea.

“We are mourning together with the relatives of the deceased passengers and members of the crew, sharing their  grief and expressing our deepest condolences,” Chairman of the State Council Farid Mukhametshin said.

Today’s session is the last in the current year. The parliament submitted 21 issues including 5 regional bills and 8 federal bills for consideration. Three bills will be considered in the first reading, two in the second.

Candidates for magistrates will be considered at the session.

Moreover, the Plan of law project work for 2017, the Plan of cooperation between State Council and the Parliaments of other states and Russian entities, international parliamentary organizations for 2017 will be approved.

Deputies will also listen to the report about implementation of the education development programmes.

The Tatarstan State Council is going to advance an initiative on introducing alterations to article 8 of the Russian City Planning Code.

Information about joint projects between Tatarstan and OAO Russian railways, and prospects of regional railway transport will be presented at the session.
