Representatives of mass media were told about readiness of bathing places for beach season at a briefing in House of RT government. The briefing was held in format of video conference with participation of all municipal regions.
According to acting Head of department of State inspection of small-size vessels under State institution Ministry of emergency situations Ildar Salikhov there is a tendency of yearly decrease in number of beaches in republican towns and regions. The main reason for closing beaches is absence of financing. For now out of 52 beaches 31 have been checked. Only 16 may be officially used. 19 prescriptions were issued for elimination of revealed shortcomings.
From June 5 three beaches are opened in Kazan – Nizhnee Zarechie, Lokomotiv, Komsomolskoe Lake (Derbyshki).
By words of acting Head of department of State inspection of small-size vessels under State institution Ministry of emergency situations Ildar Salikhov and Deputy head of Directorate of Federal service for supervision in the sphere of consumer rights protection and human wellbeing on RT Nailya Fatkhullina Kazan beach at lake “Izumrudnoe” is put up for auction for transferring to a private person.
In Nab.Chelny out of six beaches registered in State inspection of small-size vessels only two are allowed for usage.
In Chistopolski region 11 beaches are opened except for one, most popular city embankment. City Administration promised to open it by Sabantui.
In Nizhnekamsk out of registered 12 beaches only one (the private one) is now permitted for usage.
In Laishevo region urban beach is still not opened though it is very popular among local and Kazan citizens. By and large out of 11 beaches only two are opened.
The Lake of Victory Park has become a beloved place of Kazan dwellers. “Though bathing is not permitted here, it is difficult to explain people that they endanger their lives”, - Deputy Minister of civil defence and emergency situations - Head of RT rescue service Emil Fazleev said. He also informed that 20 people (amateur fishermen) have drowned in republic in April-May this year.
On 28 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in an extended joint meeting of the Main Directorate of Russian Emergencies Ministry for Tatarstan and a collegium of the Ministry for Civil Defense, Emergency Management and Natural Disaster Response of the republic which summarized results of work of the territorial subsystem of the unified state system for the prevention and elimination of emergency situations of the republic in 2025 and set tasks for 2026.
In his keyword report the Head of the Main Directorate Irek Kadamov informed that there were 3 758 man-caused fires in the republic which killed 128 people and injured 177. Through joint efforts, we have managed to reduce the number of man-caused fires by more than 10%, the number of injured by 12 per cent, however the number of killed increased by 13 people, he said.
On 28 January at a ceremony held as a part of a meeting summarizing results of work of the territorial subsystem of the unified state system for the prevention and elimination of emergency situations of the republic in 2025 and setting tasks for 2026, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and the Head of the Main Directorate of Russian Emergencies Ministry for Tatarstan Irek Kadamov handed in keys for 24 new fire and rescue vehicles purchased at the expense of the regional budget to units of the Directorate and Tatarstan Emergencies Ministry.
On 27 January, speaking at an extended meeting of the Tatarstan Prosecutor’s Office which summarized results of work of the Office for 2025 and set tasks for strengthening law and order in 2026 and which was held with participation of Russian Deputy General Prosecutor Nikoly Shishkin and the Chief Federal Inspector for the republic Viktor Demidov, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin thanked employees of the Office for good work and high professionalism.
