Rustam Minnikhanov visits the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ice Palace of Barys Hockey Club

On June 12, during his working visit to Kazakhstan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ice Palace of Barys Hockey Club.

The Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Leader of the Nation complex includes a library, an archive, a museum, a cultural, educational and research centre. The library was established in 2014 and is located in a unique building designed by the famous British architect Norman Foster. The total area of the building is more than 30,000 square meters.

The library collection includes books presented to President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in different years, donative books, as well as Nursultan Nazarbayev's personal library, which he has collected since the 1960s.

After visiting the library, Minnikhanov went to see the Ice Palace of Barys Hockey Club, which was built and opened in 2015. There, Minnikhanov visited the museum of hockey history in Kazakhstan, looked around the ice arena, swimming pool and other auxiliary facilities for athletes.

On 27 November the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with al municipalities taking part in it via videoconference which discussed measures on stepping up traffic safety, decrease of car accidents and reducing the severity of their consequences in the republic.
