On July 19, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, members of an Iranian delegation from Razavi Khorasan Province led by province governor Ali Reza Rashidiyan took part in Tatarstan-Iran business forum at the IT Park in Kazan.
Minnikhanov welcomed participants of the Tatarstan-Iran business forum in Kazan. He thanked Ali Reza Rashidiyan for his attention to the development of cooperation with Tatarstan, and also expressed his gratitude to the leadership of Russia and Iran for supporting the ties at the regional level.
"Our republic is interested in expanding mutually beneficial cooperation with Iranian companies," Minnikhanov said. "We hope that during today's meetings business circles will exchange best practices, discuss existing business plans, and open new areas for interaction."
"Tatarstan focuses on the development of cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran as part of Russia-Iran relations," Minnikhanov emphasized. “Governments and business communities of our countries are making efforts to expand contacts in various fields. For our part, we are ready to actively participate in these processes at the regional level. Tatarstan is interested that foreign companies choose our republic to enter the Russian market. We are open for cooperation and ready to develop relations. I wish all forum participants fruitful work and practical results," he said.
Proposals to develop and strengthen business contacts between Tatarstan and Razavi Khorasan Province were made during the forum.
In particular, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Razavi Khorasan Province is ready to contribute to the development of relations. According to the Iranian colleagues, tourism is an important part of the interaction and there are opportunities for taking some steps to increase the tourist flow between Tatarstan and the Iranian province.
It is expected that such working visits, discussion of business opportunities will benefit investment, tourism sectors and industry as a whole, and will also contibute to the development of relations between Tatarstan and Razavi Khorasan Province.
