Session of RT government dedicated to the problems in health care has been held in RT Cabinet in format of video conference. The event was held by RT Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov. RT Minister of health care Airat Farrakhov made the key report. By his words, 16 areas within the frameworks of national project “Health” are being realized in 2010. Tatarstan is the only region where 4 more large projects are being implemented: improvement of organization of aid to patients with vascular diseases, oncological patients, the injured in road accidents on federal highway M-5 “Ural”, examination of population for the purpose of revealing and treatment of patients with tuberculosis.

Session of Russian-German managing committee within the frameworks of President program of training managing staff was held in Kazan City hall. RT President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in X jubilee session. Russian-German managing committee was founded in 1998 for defining areas of cooperation between Russia and Germany within the frameworks of President program of training managing staff. Such sessions are yearly held in Russia and Germany.

Ceremony of awarding winners of republican contests “ECOleader” and “Man and nature” was held in NCC “Kazan”. Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Deputy Chairman of RT State council Rimma Ratnikova and Minister of ecology and natural resources Aglyam Sadretdinov attended the event. Head of RT government opened the ceremony. Prime Minister handed awards to winners of contest “ECOleader” conducted among enterprises of All-Russia significance. JSC “Tatneft” became an absolute winner of this contest in 2009. Prizes were also awarded to JSC “TANECO”, JSC “Nizhnekamskneftehim”, agricultural complex “Maisky” and JSC “Network company”.

Tatneftekhiminvest Holding had a meeting chaired by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov on September 30. The meeting reviewed a draft target programme called “Development of Tatarstan’s pharmaceutical industry in 2011-2020 and prospectively”. The firm’s general director Rafinat Yarullin said the programme had been devised to implement the Russian pharmaceutical industry development strategy until 2020 and the target programme on promoting biotechnologies in Tatarstan in 2010-2020 and pursuant to the drat federal programme on developing the pharmaceutical and medical industry in the Russian Federation until 2020 and prospectively. The programme provides for domestic manufacturing of vital and essential medicines, launching on the market innovative products made by the local pharmaceutical industry. The programme is planned to include two stages: 2011-2015 and 2016-2020.

The Tatneft board has held a regular meeting in Kazan, chaired by Rustam Minnikhanov. The meeting examined the Tatneft’s budget performance in the eight months of 2010, approved a budget plan for October and the fourth quarter of this year and discussed estimates of Tatneft's financial and economic activities in 2011. The board heard a report on the system of personnel training at Tatneft, arranging recreation and sanitation of children and company employees. The company’s consistent effort in this area was highly evaluated, the corporation’s executive directorate instructed to carry on with the work, the JSC Tatneft’s press service has said.

Republic of Tatarstan is interested in maintaining and developing political, economic and cultural contacts with Vietnam, President Rustam Minnikhanov said at a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to Russia Bui Din Zin. Other attendees at the meeting that took place at the House of Government were Tatarstan industry and trade minister Ravil Zaripov, Tatarstan President department of external relations head Timur Akulov, counsellor-envoy of the embassy of Vietnam, head of the economic department Nguen Tiy Tam, counsellor for political affairs Nguen Than Van and the embassy’s first secretary Le Min Zan.

The ways of customs administering on customs posts of Tatarstan customs of Transkama region have discussed today at a meeting in held in SEZ Alabuga in which RT Prime minister Ildar Khalikov and Chief of the Volga customs dept. Vecheslav Goloskokov took part.

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov has today met with Singapore’s minister mentor Lee Kuan Yew. The Tatarstan chief is on a two-day visit to Singapore, where he attends the 5th Russia-Singapore business forum.

“We want very much for Tatarstan’s major industrial companies to be present on the Asian market.” The Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov has today said it in an interview with the Channel News Asia in Singapore during the 5th Russia-Singapore business forum.

Singapore is interesting for Russia in general, as well as for its regions, Rustam Minnikhanov holds. Tatarstan is in particular under represented in Asia as a manufacturer of petrochemical products. The Republic of Tatarstan is the largest producer of polymers, polyethylene, polystyrenes and synthetic rubber, the president’s press service says.
