A meeting of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with representatives of Russia’s largest museums was held at the RT House of Government on September 15. The museum representatives came to Kazan to take part in the International Museum Forum dedicated to the 115th anniversary of the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan. Rustam Minnikhanov thanked the guests for their interest to Tatarstan and Kazan. He reminded that the Tatarstan capital had been hosting many important events, the number of which raised significantly after Kazan had marked its 1000th anniversary in 2005

RT President Rustam Minnikhanov visited Nizhny Novgorod and took part in inter-regional conference of district departments of the party “United Russia” in Volga federal district “Strategy of social and economic development of Volga region till 2020. Program of 2010-2012 years”. Chairman of RF Government Vladimir Putin participated in work of the conference. Vladimir Putin learnt about perspective projects of the regions within Volga federal district – winners of the first stage of conference which had been earlier held in Ulianovsk. Tatarstan delegation was presented by RT Minister of economy Midkhat Shagiakhmetov, RT Minister of construction, architecture and housing Marat Khusnullin.

The new building of the Directorate of the Federal Security Service on Tatarstan was opened in Kazan (Bolshaya Krasnaya Street) on September 14. Director of Federal Security Service Aleksandr Bortnikov, RT President Rustam Minnikhanov, veterans of Federal Security Service and officials of the institutions attended the opening ceremony.
Graduates of some institutions of primary and secondary professional education in Tatarstan will get university diplomas on finishing their studying. RT Minister of labor, employment and social protection Airat Shafigullin told about new project at briefing in the RT Cabinet. By his words, within the last three years much emphasis has been put on popularization of working and engineer professions in Tatarstan. The program realized in republic has already brought some results.
Today President of Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev is celebrating his birthday. He is 45 years old. President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov sent greetings telegram to Moscow.
Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov has today at the Cabinet of ministers met with the Federal Fishery Agency head Andrey Krainiy. At the meeting, Tatarstan and the federal agency signed a cooperation agreement within implementing the federal target programme called “Increasing the efficiency of using and developing the fishing industry’s resource potential in 2009-2014”. The result of the signing will be constructing in Tatarstan a sterlet reproduction unit that includes a stationary and a floating fish farms.

RT President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in meeting on issues of developing petrochemical sector in Russia. The meeting was held by Chairman of RF Government Vladimir Putin in Nizhny Novgorod (in building of regional government in the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin). The meeting was also attended by Plenipotentiary to RF President in Volga federal district Grigory Rapota, Deputy chairman of RF Government Sergey Sobyanin, RF Minister of natural resources and ecology Yury Trutnev, RF Minister of energy Sergey Shmatko and chiefs of federal structures of petrochemical enterprises.
Financial and administrative support from the state is a crucial condition for Russian small and medium businesses to develop. The Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov has today said it in a statement at the “Small Business. Financing and State Support” conference held in Kazan. The organisers are Opora Rossii, Russian Bank for Development and the Tatarstan Small and Medium Business Development Committee. The agenda includes round table meetings, held to discuss various ways of financial and administrative support for small businesses that are available in Russia.

The Troika Dialog investment company will conduct a series of seminars on the prospects of Tatarstan’s development for Tatarstan top officials, public servants and top managers of industrial enterprises. The first seminar took place at the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov attended the event .
Tatarstan cannot develop its forest industry and do lumbering without modern forestry equipment and specialized machines. The statement was made by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov at a meeting with Jari Alahuhtala, the Head of Branch Komatsu CIS Komatsu Forest, on September 11.
