On February 17, an extended meeting of the Academic Council of Sh.Mardzhani Institute of History dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Institute and 70th anniversary of its Director, Vice-President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, Doctor of Historical Sciences Rafael Khakimov was held in Kazan.

On February 15, speaking at a summary meeting of Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the republic on results of work of the agricultural industry in 2016 and tasks for 2017, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Akhmetov reported that the gross agricultural output made 238.6 bln roubles in Tatarstan in 2016.
