On September 22, at Tatarstan Government House, Prime Minister of Tatarstan Alexey Pesoshin, Aide to Tatarstan President Olesya Baltusova, Aide to Tatarstan President Airat Nurutdinov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and representatives of regional authorities took part in the presentation of the concept of master plan of Kazan financial region.
The concept was presented by the managing director and architect of APUDG Norliza Hashim. She noted that the main features of the project are rehabilitation of industrial territory of Novo-Tatarskaya sloboda and development of infrastructure of the Volga River embankment. Kazan financial region is supposed to become an international business center. Cultural and historical elements of the area will be preserved.
The total area of the project makes 1.1 thousand hectares, 656 hectares of which is a build-up area. According to the forecast of the developers, 43,000 people will live there, and 18.7 thousand jobs will be created.
The project includes the construction of 5.6 km of new roads and reconstruction of 20.5 km of the existing roads. Moreover, 95 hectares are to be provided for public spaces and green zones. A large-scale modernization of sewage and water disposal systems is also planned.
Head offices and branches of Tatarstan and Russian banks, and offices of big companies will be located in the new area. Financial companies will expand their services in the sphere of Islamic banking and corporate finances taking into account the interests of market participants and meeting the needs of Tatarstan economy.
Norliza Hashim focused on issues of modernization of transport infrastructure, improvement of the Volga River embankment, creation of quality urban environment and location of eco-friendly production facilities.
