On November 4, Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov on the National Day of Unity.
“Dear Rustam Nurgalievich! I congratulate you on the National Day of Unity. Patriotism, sense of nationhood, respect for the history of the Motherland, responsibility for its destiny have united our people for many centuries, helping them to overcome hardships, to create the great power.
And today the commitment to these enduring values and ideals makes us stronger, gives us confidence in all endeavors for the sake of success and prosperity of Russia!" the telegram says.
Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev also sent his congratulatory telegram to Minnikhanov.
“Everything that is connected with this memorable date is not only our history," the telegram reads. “Concord, unity, mutual support are important for modern Russia. We all are different, but we all love our Motherland, we are proud of its success, overcome difficulties and work together for the future of our country. I wish you health, new achievements and all the best.”
