Tatarstan President calls Beijing Polytechnic University for cooperating more closely with other Russian Universities, including the Kazan Federal University

On November 18, during his visit to the complex of the Moscow State University - Beijing Polytechnic University in Shenzhen, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov looked around the construction site and talked to the first intake of the first-year students.

The students demonstrated the delegation from Tatarstan their knowledge of the Russian language and read the poems by Alexander Pushkin and Musa Jalil. The president was impressed by the scale of the project and called its organizers for cooperating more closely with other Russian universities, including the Kazan Federal University.

China is actively forming a powerful educational cluster of world-class universities in Shenzhen. The construction of a joint university "Moscow State University - Beijing Polytechnic University", which is currently underway in the city, is planned to be completed in 2019. The complex resembles the famous Moscow State University.

This international project should become the largest Russia-China humanitarian project designed to contribute to the growth of competitiveness and prestige of Russian education in the international market of educational services, the promotion of the Russian language and culture in the world, and the deepening of relations between Russia and China in the humanitarian area.
