The Government House of the republic hosts a briefing on the role of the archival industry of Tatarstan in the preservation and popularization of family values

On July 8, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, Head of the State Archive-Keeping Committee of Tatarstan Gulnara Gabdrakhmanova informed about the genealogy festival “Echoes of centuries in the history of the family”, which has been taking place under the patronage of the State Committee of the Republic for Archival Affairs since 2019. During the period of its existence, over 10,000 people took part in it.

She emphasized that the festival is primarily aimed at preserving and developing ancestry traditions, strengthening family ties and continuity of generations, and attracting the interest of the general public to the history of Tatarstan and their family.

The final of this year’s contest took place in May. As many as 157 families took part in it, which is more than 3.5 thousand people from cities and regions of Tatarstan. The Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov handed in the awards to winners.
