Rustam Minnikhanov: enterprises turning out products with use of nano-technologies presented at the exhibition “Nano-technologies.Kazan-2011”

Enterprises really turning out production with use of nano-technologies were presented at the 3d specialized exhibition “Nano-technologies.Kazan-2011”, and the number of such enterprises should increase, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov stated at an official opening of the exhibition “Nano-technologies.Kazan-2011” and XII international research and practice conference "Nanotechnologies in industry".
The exposition opened on the territory of exhibition centre “Kazanskaya Yarmarka” (pavilion 1). This year more than 90 companies from 10 Russian regions take part in the event. Among them are Moscow, St.Petersburg, Yaroslavl and Orenburg regions, Chuvashia and other regions. Enterprises of USA and Japan also attend the event.
Rustam Minnikhanov thanked all participants of the exhibition saying that nowadays use of nano-technologies in production enables entering new level and stay competitive. By his words, participation in the event gives a chance to enterprises to demonstrate their achievements and get acquainted with projects of colleagues and partners.
Deputy plenipotentiary of the Russian President in Volga Federal District (VFD) Aleksey Kubrin informed today prospects of industrial development are connected with innovations based on the most advanced technologies.
By his words, use of nano-technologies in production is the step forward. A solid ground for development of nano-technologies has been created in Tatarstan Republic, in particular, a nano-centre enabling to implement innovative policy, Aleksey Kubrin said. “Upon the whole, about 12 % of the country’s innovative enterprises are located in Volga Federal District. We have to bring this number to 30 %, promote these enterprises, involve young specialists”, Aleksey Kubrin stated.
Deputy board chairman of ROSNANO Andrey Svinarenko and President of the Russian Nano-technological society Viktor Bykov welcomed participants of the exhibition.
Later on guests looked over the exposition “Nano-technologies.Kazan-2011”. The following expositions are presented at the exhibition: ROSNANO, Fund of infrastructure and educational programs, FGUP “Viam”, ZAO “Aerocomposit”, stands of Orenburg region, projects of Yaroslavl region (“Rybinsky plant of instrument engineering, “Phototech”), universities – Kazan national research technical university named after A.N.Tupolev, Kazan state university of architecture and building.
Answering journalists’ questions Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said currently nano-technologies are being intensively used in many industrial sectors- mechanical engineering, aircraft and helicopter engineering, petrochemistry. The main thing is that nano-technologies are being implemented in real projects. He believes the demand for nano-production is to be provided for further development of nano-technologies.
Rustam Minnikhanov marked nano-materials should be used in aircraft engineering, design of buildings and constructions. A plenary session of XII international research and practice conference "Nanotechnologies in industry" was held afterwards in the context of the exhibition.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic. The glorious traditions are continued by modern philanthropists and patrons of Tatarstan.
On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
