New chief introduced to managing staff of Ministry of the interior on RT

New Minister of the interior on RT, Major General of police Artem Khokhorin was introduced today to the staff.
Vice RF Minister of the interior Sergei Gerasimov introduced new chief of the interior ministry on RT. President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the event.
“It is an important event for all employees of the interior bodies on RT and the entire republic,” Sergei Gerasimov said. He read out the Order of the Russian President from April 27, 2012 by which Major General of police Artem Khokhorin was appointed to the post of the Minister of the interior on RT.
Sergei Gerasimov informed that today with RT President Rustam Minnikhanov they discussed tasks and problems faced by RT Ministry of the interior and every police officer. “Rustam Minnikhanov marked that Tatarstan leadership would render all possible assistance to the institution and employees so that they fully perform their official duties,” Sergei Gerasimov said. He believes that the main task of new chief of RT Ministry of the interior in such difficult conditions is to prove that this choice was made not accidentally.
Sergei Gerasimov is sure that all processes happening at RT Ministry of the interior will be of positive nature. He congratulated Artem Khokhorin on high assignment and wished success in his work.
President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov thanked the Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and Russian Minister of the interior Rashid Nurgaliev for supporting the candidacy of Artem Khokhorin in such a difficult time for Tatarstan police. RT President reminded that Artem Khokhorin had acquired good reputation at the post of Chief of the interior ministry of the Republic of Mari El and worked in the Central office of RF Ministry of the interior.
“We have faced hard times, in particular political activity of citizens and elections of the Russian President on March 4, 2012, mistakes of our colleagues – police officers. All these resonance actions led to many consequences our police did not deserve. I may assure that stability and safety are main factors needed for further positive development of our republic. Police reform will be continued,” RT President said.
Rustam Minnikhanov wished Artem Khokhorin good teamwork.
President of Tatarstan also expressed words of encouragement to ex-chief of RT Ministry of the interior Asgat Safarov reminding that he had worked for 14 years on his post, and all achievements of our police were possible due to joint efforts of the team he worked with.
Head of RT Ministry of the interior Artem Khokhorin thanked leadership of the Russian Ministry of the interior and Tatarstan for rendered trust.
On 9 June upon his arrival to the Kazan International Airport, the Russian Minister for Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov was welcomed by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin.
In Kazan Sergey Lavrov will take part in a meeting of the Council of Ministers for Foreign Affairs of State-Participants of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
On 5 May, speaking at a regular meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin informed that currently 63 school catering units are under repairs with the amount of work completed reaching 15 per cent.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
