Dmitry Medvedev: The United Russia's Tatarstan branch is one of the most powerful and numerous in the country

“The United Russia's Tatarstan branch is one of the most powerful and numerous in the country,” Chairman of the RF Government and the United Russia party Dmitry Medvedev said at a meeting with the party’s activists in Kazan. The meeting was held at the high technology technopark “IT-park” (Kazan, Peterburgskaya str).
To the point, Dmitry Medvedev is on a working trip in the Tatarstan capital. Upon arrival, he visited production departments of the KAPO n.a.Gorbunov and held a meeting dedicated to development of strategic aviation.
Presentation of the IT-park activity and resident companies was organized for the Head of RF Government and his party. A meeting with activists of the United Russia’s regional branch in Tatarstan was held afterwards.
The Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Chairman of the RT State Council, Secretary of political council of the United Russia's Tatarstan branch Farid Mukhametshin took part in the meeting.
Opening the event, Dmitry Medvedev said that Tatarstan party organization is one of the most powerful and numerous in the country. He called activists for open and live dialogue and promised to hold such meetings regularly.
Dmitry Medvedev asked Farid Mukhametshin to tell about life of the regional branch.
During the meeting, Dmitry Medvedev and members of the party discussed issues of agricultural development in the country and problems of inner-party policy.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic. The glorious traditions are continued by modern philanthropists and patrons of Tatarstan.
On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
