The Directors Council of “Tatneftehiminvest-holding” chaired by Rustam Minnikhanov discussed the projects in oil-gas-chemical sphere. The main one is the construction of ethylene-producing plant in JSC “Nizhnekamskneftehim” with capacity of 1 million tones. The construction is to be started in the second half of 2009. 84 billion RUR are planned to be spent for the project. Rustam Minnikhanov considers that realization of the project will increase petrochemical production in Tatarstan.

RT Prime Minister announced that the project of JSC “Ammonia” (Mendeleevsk) – construction of the plant for production of ammonia, methanol, granulated carbamide and ammonia nitrate will be realized in accordance with prior agreement. During the visit to Japan together with Anatoliy Ballo, Deputy Chairman of JSC “Vnesheconombank” the negotiations were held with Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) concerning the credit for project realization. The contract should be signed in March, 2009.

Marat Safiullin, RT Minister of Economy and Vies Hermann, General Director of “Bosch” Company signed the Agreement of Intent. It stipulates further partnership and cooperation of German Concern “Bosch” with Tatarstan enterprises and organizations. Vies Hermann announced that it will improve the relations of the Company with Russia and its regions, Tatarstan, in particular. The main object of “Bosch” Company is to intensify its presence in security systems market.

Rustam Minnikhanov and Russian delegation are in business trip in Oran (Algeria) to participate in OPEC (Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries) emergency session. The event is devoted to stabilization of oil prices under world economic crisis conditions. Russia, Omen, Azerbaijan, Syria take part in the session except for 13 OPEC countries.

The members of commission discussed the candidates for various nominations. The contest has been held in Kazan since 2002. It was established by RT Association of Industrial Enterprises (since 2005 – RT Association of Enterprises and businessmen).

Plasma Centre was opened in Kazan. Rustam Minnikhanov, RT Prime Minister, Tatyana Yakovleva, State Duma deputy, member of Superior Council Bureau of the Party “Edinaya Rossiya”, First Deputy Head of the fraction “Edinaya Rossiya”, Tatyana Larionova, State Advisor under RT President on social affairs, Airat Farrakhov, Minister of Health Care, Evgeniy Smetanin, Deputy General Director on regional development of Federal State Institution “Privolzhsky district medical centre of blood specimen quality examination and investigation of donor plasma fractionation under Russian Health Directorate" took part in the event.

Forum “Tatarstan business partners.New possibilities of cooperation” was held in National Culture Center “Kazan” by Rustam Minnikhanov. RT Prime Minister pointed out that Tatarstan has experience in cooperation with republic state structures, administrations from Russian regions, CIS countries and Baltic States.

RT Prime Minister met with Mr. Shunichi Miyanaga, Senior Vice President of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries to discuss preproject works (JSC “Ammonia”, Mendeleevsk).
Anatoliy Ballo, Deputy Chairman of “Vnesheconombank”, Marat Khusnullin, RT Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing, Renat Khanbikov, Chairman of JSC “Ammonia” Directors Committee, Radik Vakhitov, General Director of JSC “Ammonia” took part in the meeting.

Boris Pavlov took part in IX All-Russia conference of extended education “Staffing of innovative processes in Russian economy and education” and All-Russia Forum “Social partnership in continuing education”. Boris Pavlov noted that innovative way of development is connected with scaled investments in human capital. The Forum is organized by Kazan State Technological University, National Fund of Personnel Training, Russian Union of manufacturers and businessmen, Russian Association of business education, RT Ministry of education and science, RT Ministry of Economy, RT Ministry of industry and trade, RT Chamber of Commerce and Industry, regional associations of employers “RT Association of enterprises and businessmen”.

According to Iskander Muflikhanov, Aide to Prime Minister on foreign economic activity the agreement was signed by Rustam Minnikhanov, RT Prime Minister and Jiang Daming, the Governor of Shandong province. Tatarstan delegation was presented by Timur Akulov, State Advisor on International affairs under RT President, Director of Department for external relations under RT President, Marat Khusnullin, RT Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing, Marat Bariev, RT Minister of Youth Affairs, Sport and Tourism, Ilsur Metshin, Kazan Mayor.
