On April 23 Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs and Sport Khalil Shaikhutdinov, President of National Badminton Federation of Russia Sergey Shakhrai, and Secretary General of European Badminton Federation Brian Agerbak took part in official opening ceremony of XXIV European Badminton Championship in Kazan (April 23-27). More than 250 sportsmen from 36 countries will take part in the event.
On April 23, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in an annual shareholders meeting of OAO “Kazanorgsintez”. In particular, participants of the meeting approved the annual report, annual financial statements as well as the report on financial activities of OAO “Kazanorgsintez”.
On April 23 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a plenary session of international conference “Partnership for development of clusters” organized by the Association of innovative regions of Russia and Russian Ministry of Economic Development at Kazan IT park.

On April 22, at a briefing at Tatarstan Government House, Director General of the Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate Azat Kadyrov said that the Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate will be renamed to the Sports Projects Executive Directorate.
On April 22, at a briefing at Tatarstan Government House on results of Tatarstan delegation’s visit to China, First Deputy Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade Ruslan Kabirov announced that the construction of an industrial park on the model of a Chinese park is planned to be commenced in one of Tatarstan municipal regions in May.

On April 21 by invitation of Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov, Tatarstan State Counsellor, Chairman of Guardian Council of the Regional Foundation of the Revival of Historical and Cultural Monuments Mintimer Shaimiev took part in a solemn meeting of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO dedicated to 60th anniversary of Russia joining UNESCO (UN Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization).
