Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in annual general meeting of shareholders of OAO “TAIF”

On April 30, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in an annual general meeting of shareholders of OAO “TAIF”, at which results of the group of companies “TAIF” and OAO “TAIF” activity in 2013 were summed up.
Making a keynote report at the meeting, Director General of OAO “TAIF” Albert Shigabutdinov said that the group’s balanced income made 443 billion roubles in 2013, with EBITDA amounting to 57 billion roubles, net profit – to 35 billion roubles. The company paid 79 billion roubles of taxes and duties to budgets of different levels and extra-budgetary funds, which is 16 per cent higher than last year.
The shareholders approved the annual statement, annual accounting reports, including income statement and the distribution of profit for the fiscal year of 2013. Moreover, a new Board of Directors of OAO “TAIF” was elected.
After the meeting of shareholders, a meeting of the new Board of Directors was held. Rustem Sulteev was re-elected as Board Chairman of OAO "TAIF". Albert Shigaboutdinov was re-elected as Director General of OAO "TAIF" for the next five-year term.
A press conference for media representatives was held afterwards. In particular, Board Chairman of OAO "TAIF" Rustem Sulteev reported that the new Board of Directors of 10 board members was approved.

On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
On 1 December Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in N.I. Lobachevsky Prize and Medal Award Ceremony held in Kazan Federal University and handed in the award to the Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Chief Researcher of the St. Petersburg Department of Steklov Mathematical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences Sergei Ivanov who was awarded for the outstanding achievements in fundamental and applied mathematics.
