Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin has congratulated residents of the republic with February 23 - the Defender of the Fatherland Day

In his congratulatory speech to residents of the republic Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin has said:

“On February 23 our country is celebrating the Defender of the Fatherland Day. This is a real nationwide holiday that has become a symbol of continuous homage to all those who courageously defended their Motherland during the years of war, stood for the independence of the country in hot spots and currently are on guard of the  boundaries of the Motherland in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

I express our special gratitude to veterans of the Army and the Navy who fulfilled their military duty and are upbringing the young generation in the spirit of patriotism and respect of glorious combat traditions of the Russian military.

Today we as ever before are sure in reliability of protection of our peaceful creative life. Professional military personnel, professional training of officers and privates as well as the equipment of military units are constantly improving.

And the Republic of Tatarstan makes a substantial contribution into increasing the defense potential of the country as the high capacity of regional enterprises, which are a part of military-industrial complex of Russia, makes it possible to meet the most complicated defense orders supplying the Army and the Navy with modern armament and technique.
